I am Coach Andy the owner of the Playball (East) Franchise. I have worked for
Playball for the last year as a head coach and loved every minute. Before Playball I was a PE teacher in the UK teaching children from the age of 4 to 18 . Outside Playball I love playing rugby and cricket. As owner of the Playball East franchise, please know that I am always available to talk about any questions, comments or observations you may have about Playball, the programme, my coaches, or anything else on your mind. Kids cross Coach Chris, our Head Coach at your peril! His easy-going nature is his perfect cover for his alter ego as a World Champion martial arts exponent. Coach Chris is our only two-time world champion Playball coach currently on staff, and blends his years of coaching experience with his own personal enjoyment of sports into his Playball lessons with your kids.

“I have always loved teaching children of all ages. I started out teaching at my local Tae Kwon-Do club at age 16 and never looked back. Since then have trained countless hours in martial arts. The passion for being active doesn’t stop at martial arts. Growing up I enjoyed playing cricket, rugby, badminton and soccer at club level and have a solid base of skills to pass on."

Coach Mal is our gentle giant often sporting a bushy beard! Kids don't be afraid 
though, Coach Mal is really just like you, he loves playing games, messing around and generally having fun! After taking a years sabbatical to chase his dream of rowing for New Zealand Coach Mal has returned to Auckland to continue at University. He has also changed sports moving to the Kayak and the closer waters of lake Pupuke with the dream of Rio 2016. So watch out kids you will be see lots more of him!

Coach Dan is new to Playball but he is turning into a great coach! You will be seeing more and more of Coach Dan as he takes on more classes each week. Coach Dan has a back ground in Surf life saving and loves nothing more than heading to the beach at the weekend for a surf. Coach Dan has just completed his Bachalor of Science and hopes to keep expanding his Playball knowledge. Coach Dan looks forward to seeing you at Playball soon....... and don't forget to ask about his interesting choice in hair color!

We have an exciting new addition to the coaching team! Meet Coach Heidi!

After 4 years study at Otago university in Dunedin, Coach Heidi has returned home with a Bachelor of Physical Education double majoring in exercise prescription & sport and leisure studies. Coach Heidi has a special interest in netball, water polo, skiing and is always up for some outdoor adventures! She has always loved working with children and is looking forward to expanding her coaching skills in the Playball team!!
